On St. Patrick’s Day, we went to the Freight House Kitchen and Tap. We had green
beer from La Cumbre Brewing (Albuquerque), it is called Beer, and their Elevated
IPA. I had a Turbo Dog from Abita Brewing (Abita Springs,Louisiana). I had the
portobello burger with some of the best fries ever along with house made spicy
ketchup and house made pickles. I always have an order of green chilies on top. Yes, it is spicy. But green chilies have just enough of a kick to be a welcome addition to any burger, meat or not. My better half had the shrimp and grits. I didn’t get a sample so I know they were good. Our friends had the special, the corned beef and cabbage. It looked like the brisket was soaked in stout. There were carrots in the cabbage and some curly fries as well.
We had a fun evening with our friends.
Corned beef never looked so delish! Am taking notes…
