One of my friends picked Tulipani to have lunch at a couple of weeks ago. They were impressed with the pasta. So the next time I went to Sawmill Market, we went to Tulipani. Going to Sawmill Market and Chomp, I have changed my mind about food halls. There is some wonderful food to be had at those places.
I think that Tulipani started out as a pasta store in Albuquerque. Their pasta is some of the best I have ever tasted. Period. It was so fresh as was my meal.

I am a big fan of Pomodoro sauce. It is one of my favorite sauces. What isn’t to love?? There is basil, tomato sauce, some burrata cheese, pistachio pesto, and chopped pistachios on top. I had never had this particular type of pasta before. The pasta actually looks like tiny tulips. I thought that was cool! This dish was 12.95.

It was a good size portion. This was some of the best Italian food I have had in New Mexico. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
We also had the Creamy Lemon(12.95) which was a lemon cream sauce, with chicken breast, capers, and Pecorino Cheese. Tulipani was accommodating because we really didn’t want the chicken. They said that we could have any of the meat dishes without the meat. It wasn’t a big deal. Cool

This was also delicious! The capers gave this dish a nice zing. They were a big hit.
The staff is helpful and friendly. They give the food stall a good local restaurant vibe.
The only downside was the the wonderful recyclable dishes absorbed the sauce. No problem, next time we will eat our food at the Sawmill Market. There is a large outdoor seating area as well as several seating areas inside.
Tulipani is open from 11am-9pm. You can order ahead of time by going to the Sawmill Market Website or order in person at their food stall.
Tulipani is located at 1909 Bellamah
