Since I often drive up and down Cerrillos Road, I was very interested in a cute little place called K’ Bueno. It is a tiny storefront right next to the U-haul store on Cerrillos.

Since K’ Bueno is open from 8am to 8pm, I was in luck. I have often said that simple food is sometime the hardest food to make. This is why I decided to check out their tacos. Yes, tacos. I love them. There is a whole area of the menu dedicated to vegetarian food. I was impressed.
If you know me, you know that I have to have black beans. So I had the bean taco(3) with black beans. You can have yours with pinto beans but mine will always be black beans. The bean taco also comes with green chile, Oaxaca cheese, and Mexican Menuita Cream on the top. I quickly devoured this tasty taco. I had a hard time restraining myself from eating it in the car on the way home. It was delicious! The fresh lime really enhanced the taste of the food. The lime itself was very fresh and I was able to squeeze a great deal of juice on my tacos.

I forgot to ask for a hotter salsa but next time I will remember. The salsas were good but after living in New Mexico for awhile I need a little more punch. I’m sure next time that will indeed happen because K’Bueno makes their own salsa.

The portabella mushroom taco(3) had mushrooms, zucchini, squash, grilled eggplant, and Oaxaca cheese and some salsa. It was delicious as well. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and seemed to meld together. It was a delightful combination.

The deep fried avocado taco(3) was a big favorite and I can see why. It wasn’t greasy, always a plus for fried food. It had a mango pico de gallo and a chile de arbol salsa. How do you say delicious!!

I also had the sweet potato Taco (3)with Brussels sprouts, which were whole. kale, garlic, cotija cheese, hibiscus caramelized onion and chile arbol(a small Mexican pepper that packs a punch). The sweet potato was nice and creamy.

K’ Bueno is open Monday through Saturday 8am-8pm. I thought that the food was fantastic. The service was friendly and helpful. They even walked our order out to our car. We were the only customers at K’Bueno at the time.
Next time I will also ask about the gluten-free options. There were several vegetarian options like a burrito, salads, and quesadillas. there was also a Kids Menu.
K’Bueno is located at 2621 Cerrillos Road. Their phone number is 1.505.365.2076. YUM!!!
