I had been wanting to go to Mucho Gusto for a long time. Last year, I had considered getting take-out for my birthday. We finally went with a group of friends. There were 5 of us so we were happy to get a nice table near the air conditioning. It was a little warm that day. Mucho Gusto wasn’t taking reservations online so we came early. I think they were filled for later in the evening.
There was an extensive menu that had a good variety of choices. Our friends raved about the Mole Enchilada with turkey(16.75). That sounded wonderful for the meat eaters in the crowd. I was trying to decide between the Jack cheese(13.75) and the grilled veggie enchilada(14.75). I decided to get the grilled veggies since it is summer and all kinds of fresh vegetables are in season.

Well, I was surprised when I received this vegetable enchilada. The menu did state that the enchilada was going to be flat and it sure was. The black beans were delicious and was the rice and lettuce.

Here is another view of the my enchilada plate.

I don’t know but for 14.75, I was expecting more vegetables in my enchilada. There was some beautifully cooked broccoli on the top. I also had some nicely cooked zucchini and cheese. But I thought that was kind of expensive or pricey for what I received. I thought that maybe they forgot my vegetables?? I don’t know.
Once again our friends were very happy with their choice of the turkey enchiladas with mole sauce.
We were charged a tip on 5 people. Ok, I understand that we were considered a large party but there was not a notation on the menu. I did read their online menu which clearly states that 6 people are the maximum party that the restaurant will be able to accommodate. I get that.

As we were finishing up our dinner, many people arrived at about 7pm. Wow! The dining room was filled by the time we left. People eat a little later here. We ate early in order to get a table and miss the holiday rush.

We skipped dessert and went instead to the Pink Pony Soft Serve. Sorry I’m still not on Instagram.
