Casa Rondeña is a winery located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Then a few years ago, Casa Rondeña had a Groupon for a wine tasting.
We were very pleased and surprised by this wine and the beautiful grounds as well. Visiting Casa Rondeña is like taking a great vacation to Spain. We were so impressed with the delicious wine, that we joined their wine club, the Clarion. Sadly, this version of the wine club will be discontinued in January 2019. As a club member you receive two free tastings. If you are not a member, wine tastings are 10 dollars per person. We came to taste and pick up some of our wine. I really enjoy going to the tasting room and checking out the interesting selections of wine.
Casa Rondeña makes both red and white wine. I really like their Cabernet Franc and 1629. Both are delicious full bodied reds. I also selected a white, Viognier. It was crisp and clean. I like white wine better than red but Casa Rondeña is helping me to learn to enjoy red wines. Jesse, our host at the tasting room, was helping us with our tastings and selection of wine club wines. Jesse is very knowledgeable about Casa Rondeña wine.
