I found them!!! It has been several months since I have visited my favorite pizza place in Santa Fe. Bruno’s Pizza was doing lunch at Meow Wolf before the pandemic began. We usually do not venture in that part of town during that time of day.

However, my friends were raving about a new pizza truck in their neighborhood (South Capital). I said great, we will check it out. I was told to order the day before on Menufy. Ok, I did. The pizza was ready exactly on time which was fabulous. But it looked like I could order by phone directly from the source, Bruno’s. I talked to Vince, my friend at Bruno’s. He said just order by phone and save the service charge (I think it was about $1.50 through Menufy). Bruno’s pizza!!!! They have located to a new spot on Paseo de Peralta. Bruno’s is right across the street from the beautiful Hotel Santa Fe. Bruno’s is located next to Chicago Dog Express. How cool is that!!!!

Vince said that they are converting the building into a speakeasy. Then I wouldn’t have to find beer to go with my pizza. The beer would be right there at where the food truck was located.
He asked if I had been to Santa Fe Brewing on Fireplace Road lately. That was the location where I first found Bruno’s. No, it has been awhile since I have been there.
I got a large Veggie Pizza, a number 4 on the menu. The Veggie Pizza(22.50) has artichoke, red onions, Sicilian capers, black olives, roasted red peppers, and sun-dried tomatoes. For 2 dollars extra, I got the green chile on a large pizza. You can also get the hot pepperoncini (peppers, which I love. These hot peppers are similar to a banana pepper). Remember these peppers are hot.
First of all, I love this thin crust pizza, apparently it is IPA infused crust. The crust was wonderful and the wood fired oven cooks it quickly. It is incredible. I LOVE this pizza. It has a generous helping of all the above mentioned veggies.

According to their website, Bruno’s has recently extended their hours. Bruno’s is open Mon-Wednesday 11-6 and Thursday-Friday 11-3. There are a coupon and a loyalty card. I have been a loyal fan so I skipped the coupon. But I did get a loyalty card. With this card after 10 pizzas, I think you get a small pizza.
Vince and Amber, his granddaughter, told me about Punchy’z in Albuquerque. Vince’s son Aaron Marchi runs that wood burning pizza truck. This truck can be found at several of the Albuquerque Breweries, like Marble, High & Dry, and Bow & Arrow.
As soon as the snow settles down, we are going!
