I have always wanted to go to Back Road Pizza. I finally got a taste of their wonderful pizza. It was so easy to order on their online menu. We ordered a small side salad, a large Greek pizza, and a pint of green chile ice cream. What a haul! The cool part is that you text Backroad Pizza when you arrive and then they place the order on that black holder with a rack.
I love the side house salad(3.95). It was a wonderful mix of greens, garbanzo beans, roma tomatoes, red onions, and sunflower seeds. We chose the balsamic salad dressing. It was a delightful salad.
The pizza crust was so thin and crunchy. What a surprise! The crust makes the pizza for me. The Greek toppings were equally distributed throughout the entire pizza. The toppings on the Greek Pizza(26) are sun dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, artichocke hearts and feta cheese. This was some of the best feta cheese I have ever had. It had a wonderful tang to it. It was simply delicious. The green Chile (upcharge of 2.35 for the large) was also equally distributed. The chile added a nice zing to the pizza. Wow! It was absolutely delicious.
For dessert we had a pint of La Lecheria Ice Cream(8). It was a wonderful addition to this incredible meal. Yes, it was a wonderful ending to a wonderful meal.
Back Road Pizza is open 11:30-8. except on Mondays. You can also order grocery items like flour, salt, beans butter, toilet paper and masks.
