I have often wondered how the bakery and food was at Dolina Bakery & Cafe. We never seem to get to the side of town very often.
We were delighted when a friend stopped by for breakfast. It was a big surprise. He brought several cinnamon morning buns(3.50each) and a couple of slices of quiche(7.50)each. ((I’m not sure))
We had bought a dozen green chile bagels(30) from Plantita Vegan Bakery. Yes, they are pricey.
Full disclosure: I am not fond of cinnamon. I am finally starting to tolerate its existence. I know that this particular spice is good for you but then so is kale and I really dislike kale. Breakfast is my least favorite meal.
There is a daily quiche special, I think we got a mushroom spinach with caramelized onions.

It was really wonderful to see our friend. It was very thoughtful to bring breakfast. However, I was not impressed with the food. It was just good. The boxes were strong and sturdy. That was a good vehicle for bakery goods. The Dolina website is beautiful. The photos of the bakery goods are incredible. It is also a WordPress site.
Even the bagels were not as good as they used to be. The bagels seemed to have a different recipe and are not as fabulously chewy. I really couldn’t taste the green chile…at all.
