Yes, Saya’s Food Truck is back in Santa Fe. Welcome Back!!! I have missed this wonderful food truck. Saya’s is one of my all time favorite places to get food. The new location is on Cerrillos Road closer to the Capital, very close to the Motel 6. Saya’s new address is 651-A Cerrillos Road. Winter Hours are Wednesday to Saturday 11-2 and 4-7

This is why I missed Saya’s so much, the incredible frybread(3.68). I actually waited until I got into the car to start eating this wonderful concoction. Of course, I have to have my frybread with powered sugar. You can choose to have it plain or with honey. My frybread was so hot out of the fryer. That is the real reason I had to wait to eat it in the car.

I got the vegetarian version(9.68)of the Indian Taco. I really didn’t want the ground beef but you do have that option. This taco stands up on its own. First, I have to say I love the red sauce. This sauce makes the entire taco. It is so good. The spice in the red sauce is so balanced. The beans were cooked perfectly. They were that melty goodness. You know when you have perfectly cooked beans they practically melt it your mouth. There was a wonderful balance of shredded lettuce, chopped tomato and onion. The taco shell was the incredible frybread. Wow! you can’t ask for anything better! It tied the taco all together.

I just love this food! It makes me smile just to write about Indian Tacos and Frybread. There was a small line ahead of me so you should factor that wait time into your lunchtime. There was a steady line of people before and after me for lunch.

A new restaurant, ‘K Bueno has opened in the former Pina Loca location on Cerrillos Road. I drove by on Friday and noticed the Open sign was on. ‘K Bueno is located just south of Artisan Art Supply, near the U-Haul store on the west side of Cerrillos Road.
