I am just continuing at Ex Novo Brewing. As you know I love their beers. There is a sour beer that isn’t canned, bottled, or can be taken away in a growler. Of course, I would love this beer, The Sun Sinks into the Wes. This beer is really a fruit smoothie with alcohol. The Sun Sinks has mango, passion-fruit and pineapple, so it is really a fruit beer. All personal favorites. I never dreamed they would be combined into a beer. But enough about the beer.
We decided to try out the various food trucks at Ex Novo Brewing. Food Trucks can be really good or not. Nom Nom on Wheels was in the first category. I had very limited expectations. This was one of the tiniest food trucks I have ever seen. I wasn’t too keen on the name either. That said, Nom Nom on Wheels proved me wrong on all counts.
We asked about vegetarian options. I immediately found out the all the menus listed on-line were not what was listed on our menu. Ok, there were actually a couple of vegetarian options. We were then asked if we like hot. Yes, I love hot and spicy. The Szchewan noodle bowl(11.25) was suggested as a lunch option.
As you will see, these noodles were covered with white sesame seeds, and topped with red onion. There were jalapenos and broccollini in the main dish. The Szechwan sauce was perfect. It burned just enough to know it was there but it didn’t over power the noodles. I really didn’t expect this tiny food truck to cover my noodle bowl with white sesame seeds. They were a wonderful addition and really made the dish pop.
I went for the beer but will be going back for the food. That tiny food truck is big on flavor. I couldn’t finish my portion so I was able to take some home. It was even better the next day!
Below is a listing of all the Food Truck Scheduled to be a Ex Novo Brewery. Nom Nom is scheduled to be at Ex Novo Brewery on Wednesdays from 12pm to 8:30 pm. I will definitely be going back to get more of the Szechwan Noodles.
I did find out that there is a Cafe Nom Nom in Boxing Bear Brewery also in Corrales. I have never been there. But the Nom Nom on Wheels is located at Ex Novo in Corrales.
