I love Small Cakes! It is one of my favorite places to get cupcakes. I haven’t been there for about 2 years so I think my sugar high has worn off. Wow! I am always overwhelmed by their choices. so I usually stick to my all time favorite of chocolate cream(4.05). This reminds me of a grownup version of the Hostess cupcake I have always adored. The Small Cakes version is much better. The chocolate cream has more frosting, filling, and I like the devil’s food cupcake better. Just look at that gorgeous goodness on a plate. I shot a closeup just so you could see for yourself.
This delicious cupcake is a devil’s food cake filled with whipped cream and topped with fudge frosting with a vanilla bean frosting swirl. Wow! I love this cupcake. It is my favorite!
I did switch it up a bit by ordering the Hot Fudge Sundae(4.05). Who could resist something like this?
A devil’s food cake filled with delicious fudge, topped with vanilla bean buttercream frosting topped with some more hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry to top it off. To be honest, I can only handle a half a cupcake at a time. I want to savor each and every bite. This was chocolate heaven.
We also had the lemon drop(4.05), which is a vanilla bean cake filled with lemon curd. It is topped with a lemon buttercream and a dollop of lemon curd. Now that is real lemon!
As you can see, this cupcake will satisfy the most ardent lemon fan.
Small Cakes also has ice cream, occasion cakes, wedding cakes, and cookies but I have just tried the cupcakes.
Standard size cupcakes are 4.05 each and a dozen cupcakes is 40.00. If you order ahead of time, you can get smaller size cupcakes, Medium dozen for 35.00 or a mini dozen for 20.00.
