Sweet Santa Fe

We were told to go to Sweet Santa Fe by a couple of our friends. These people really know their food, especially chocolate. If it was good, they would know. Really. They can tell you everywhere what goodies are to be found. I guess that is why we are good friends. So we finally went to Sweet Santa Fe.

Sweet Santa Fe has an impressive pedigree. They are the latest iteration of CH Higgins, a Santa Fe staple. CH Higgins retired but shared his amazing recipes with Sweet Santa Fe. And man, we are sure glad that he did.

Sweet Santa Fe is everything that you would want your local candy store to be and more. They serve breakfast and lunch as well. I just thought it was a candy store, I was wrong. Nestled, in the Santa Fe Fashion Outlet Center, this store was a pure delight. I had a big smile as soon as I entered the store.

We settled on the Sweet Santa Fe Spicy gift box(15.80) because I was so overwhelmed with the quality of the chocolate in the store. Wow! I haven’t seen that much chocolate in years. I was amazed! The person behind the counter was wonderful. She proudly explained that their chocolate received a Scovie award. This means that the chocolate was excellent and hot.

Below are two of the truffles that we have tried so far. We are just savoring the intense flavor and, of course, the chocolate. Very, very impressive. All of you chocolate lovers should really check out this place. It is my version of heaven. In the photo below, there is a photo of the New Mexico Chile dipped in Dark Chocolate. Like a fine wine, these truffles are to be savored. That is why I am trying to eat them slowly and enjoy enjoy each and every bite. I would highly recommend that you go and have your own chocolate experience. For those of you who are not chocolate lovers, there are some incredible brittles, caramel corn and cookies. So there is a little something for everyone.
