I have been wanting to check out La Reina Bar in the El Rey Court for ages. Since we have been eating at Tender Fire Kitchen when they are at the El Rey Court , I thought, good, some good food to go with a drink. I wasn’t disappointed. What a classy place. The decor was gorgeous. Very minimalist, and very cool Since it was nice outside we decided, as did many other people, to get our drinks to go outside at
the tables that were close to Tender Fire Kitchen. When it gets colder we will definitely stay inside.
We were also early so there weren’t many people around. So I could gets some interior photos without many people around.
I was impressed with the local beer selection. La Reina has several interesting cocktails, wine, beer, and bubbles. It also has some snacks,too. We were having pizza so I really didn’t check out the snacks.
We went with two local beers to go with our delicious pizza. Second Street Brewing Kolsch(7) and Santa Fe Brewing Happy Camper IPA(5). La Reina also offers a local discount so we received a couple of bucks off our total bar tab.
It was such a pleasant way to enjoy a dinner outside. The Santa Fe weather was perfect. The pizza was incredible and the local beers just added to our overall enjoyment. Heather, the bartender was knowledgeable and helpful. We really had a great dinner. According to the El Rey Court website, Tender Fire Kitchen will NOT be there on Saturdays from 9/3-10/8.
I really like the entire vibe of this place, so you know that I will be back.
