MoGro—Mobile Grocery

C5DFA71F-D6AA-4228-BC1E-1CC4E7B1CB2BMoGro is a project at the Santa Fe Community Foundation, but is centered in Albuquerque  MoGro is short for mobile grocery.  We used to go to Mogro when the large Mogro bus would pull into Cochiti Lake. That was a couple of years ago.

In the lastest version of Mogro you can purchase a box of fruit and vegetables online by Tuesday at 10am. There are a few locations in Santa Fe where you can pick up your box on Wednesday. Times vary by location. Not only do you get a box of fruit and veggies, Mogro provides you with recipes specific to the contents of the box and tips how to handle your purchase. Mogro update: Starting May 9th box prices will be on a sliding scale, there will be 8 items instead of 10, ordering wil be Thursday 2pm-Monday at 12am.

This Wednesday April 4th  I received:

3 Avocados, some broccoli, 2 ears of corn, 2 grapefruit, 2 mangos,4 tangelos, 4 tomatillos, several jalapeños, some(2) Honey Crisp apples.
