Lucile’s Restaurant is a Creole Cafe that just serves breakfast and lunch. They are open from 7:30 to 2:00. This place is always packed. We made sure we had a reservation. It is one of those places. Lucile’s is definitely worth it. There are 6 locations throughout the Denver and Boulder area. Going to Lucile’s always reminds me of being in New Orleans. The small cottage turned into the restaurant has a homey feeling. The staff are very gracious here as well. So you actually feel like you are in the South. But we come here for the fantastic food. This time I had the Shrimp Creole(13.25). I enjoy the red sauce on white rice with the celery and spices. Speaking of spices, Lucile’s makes their own hot sauce. You will see the almost empty bottle next to my dish. Yum! The Shrimp Creole comes with a side of delicious corn bread which I am never able to finish. Others in our party had breakfast so their dishes were accompanied with a biscuit.

This is a great family place. People of all ages are represented here. Because of this nice homey atmosphere this place tends to be loud but you can still hear other people in your party. A great place for breakfast or lunch.
