I read read about Fusion Tacos months ago in the Santa Fe New Mexican. Somehow I had never been on Airport Road at the correct time to eat. Happily this problem was solved this Sunday. Every weekend, Santa Fe Brewing has a guest food truck. This past week, we went to check out Fusion Tacos.

This is a photo of the outside of the new improved Santa Fe Brewing Food Hall and Bar. This courtyard was an ideal haven for an enjoyable social distancing experience.

If you check out Santa Fe Brewing’s website all the visiting food trucks are listed. Generally a visiting food truck is there for the weekend.
The staff at Fusion Taco was very helpful. The menu listed on the side of the kitchen was not very specific. We asked about vegetarian tacos. Our delicious 4 tacos(10) came with black beans(because you can never have enough black beans), red and green peppers, and zucchini squash. There was a side of cabbage slaw and a roasted pepper. Also included were two types of salsas, a green which was mild and a red sauce that managed to contain the fires of hell. I used the green salsa on my tacos.
The vegetables were nicely roasted and the beans were very flavorful. This was good bar food.
We received a buzzer that worked all the way to the parking lot for our to-go order. Even though there were several people before us, we received our order quickly.
I didn’t see a tip jar where we picked up our order so I just placed a tip on the counter. I thought Fusion Taco was doing a good job keeping up with the orders. Many people were out at the brewery and eating as well. It made for a very pleasant Sunday afternoon.
The food truck hours start somewhere close to 12. The brewery closes at 10pm. I would guess that maybe the food truck stays open to 8.
Santa Fe Brewing is located on Fireplace Road off of Highway 14.
