Cosmic Pie Pizza is a pop-up pizza place that is inside Betterday Coffee in the Solana Shopping Center on northside of town. Pre-order for pizza opens Thursday at noon for pizza sales with pick up on Friday and Saturday. You can then pick up your pizza between 5-9 pm on Friday or Saturday evening.
According to the Santa Fe New Mexican in an article by Teya Vitu, “California transplant, Chris Van Dyne brought his New York style pizza and Detroit style as well to Santa Fe. If things work out, Chris will expand the days that Cosmic Pie Pizza is open”.
I could tell that Chris has a sourdough crust. It was delicious. I also learned from the article that the “sourdough is naturally leavened.” You can taste the sour of the sourdough. It has quite a nice tang. Yum!
This is the thinnest pizza crust I have ever eaten. The Cosmic Pie Pizza website advises you that the New York style pizza will be 11-12 inches in diameter and will feed two people. Yes, it will.

It was still nice enough for a person to be sitting outside. We took ours to-go.

Above is the Cosmic Pie Pizza menu, we chose the Terra(14) because it had artichoke hearts, red onions, red bell peppers with feta cheese. It was a wonderful choice. Next time, I’m going to try the Detroit Style pizza large pan(28). It is listed on the Cosmic Pie Pizza website.

As you can see the toppings are equally distributed among the pieces of pizza. It tasted as good as it looked. All the toppings were fresh and went very well together.

This is a photo of the incredibly thin crust. It was delicious.

There is a special every week that usually costs $14. If this place was closer to my house, I would be there every weekend. I was impressed.
You can order on-line at Cosmic Pie Pizza. Cosmic Pie Pizza is located in Betterday Coffee on Friday and Saturday night from 5-9pm. Betterday Coffee is located at 905 W Alameda St. in Santa Fe.
